This month we are celebrating Rilling's, Bucks County Bakery. Located nearby in the Davisville Shopping Center, Rilling's is a gem from another era. In an era of mass-produced, bland and rather mundane baked goods, Rilling's stands out for its super high quality and reasonable prices.
Quite possibly producing some of the finest pastries, cookies and cakes in the region. They enjoy a history as rich as a fresh cannoli. Owned and operated by the third generation of bakers it is a family tradition to produce high quality, tasty desserts. The coffee is excellent as well.
Store manager, Diane Volz Tino is a graduate of William Tennent High School. Diane is the daughter of George Volz and Martha Rilling, daughter of founders Willy Rilling and Martha Schmid who emigrated to the United States in the late 1920's. Store owner, Michael Volz, also a Tennent grad, is the brother of Diane and together they support and maintain the old world bakery that is the charming Rilling's, Bucks County Bakery.
The current store is the latest in a long line of fine Rilling's bakeries spanning more than 75 years. The current store has been a fixture in the Warminster community since 1981 and is well worth the visit.
As we move into the holiday season, please consider this community partner for fantastic cookie trays, custom or stock cakes and the occasional pastry and coffee on a blustery day. They are minutes from anywhere in the Centennial community.
Their web site, updated daily, can be found at www.rillingsbakery.net.
The actual address is 868 East Street Road in Warminster, Pa., 18974, they can also be reached via phone at 215-357-3860 or via email at rillingsbakery@comcast.net. We thank the Rilling's Bakery team for supporting the Centennial School District and the Centennial Community.
