Who We Are

Rillings Bucks County Bakery is a family-owned bakery operated by the third generation of the Rilling family. Michael Volz and his sister Diane Volz, grandchildren of Willy & Martha Rilling, are the owners.

Rillings Bakery is a family-run shop in Bucks County, now helmed by the third generation of the family. Michael and Diane Volz, grandchildren of Willy and Martha Rilling, carry on a tradition that began with their grandparents and has grown around the loyal customers who return year after year. Many of those families have made our baked goods part of their own celebrations, and the relationships we have built over three generations are the heart of the business.

The bakery's reach is broad and festive, covering everything from wedding tiers and birthday cakes to custom cupcakes, cookies and dessert bars, alongside a full line of breads and rolls, cheesecakes, loaf cakes, miniatures, pastries, pies, tarts, tortes and other treats. Weddings and bridal showers, baby showers, baptisms, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, communions, confirmations, graduations, retirements and anniversaries all find a place in the ordering calendar.

Weddings are a signature offering, with tiered cakes available in platinum, gold, silver and bronze finishes, along with smaller individual servings for showers and rehearsal dinners. Seasonal windows such as Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Chanukah and the New Year bring their own popular items, and custom cake designs are created from the customer's ideas and dreams, with consultations arranged to talk through flavors, fillings and decoration.

Shopping with Rillings is straightforward and personal. Orders can be placed in person at the bakery or by phone and email, and major credit cards are accepted for convenience. Because a celebration cake should never be a surprise, the staff schedule consultations in advance so designs, timing and pickup arrangements are clear. What customers tend to remember most is the understanding and care behind the order, and the tradition of returning again for the next occasion.
